S. S. Princess Louise on maiden Alaska cruise

May 23, 1922 – The Canadian Pacific De Luxe tourist steamer Princess Louise will dock at Skagway for the first time tomorrow morning at 7:30 o’clock. This is the inauguration of another epoch in the excellent service afforded Southeastern Alaska, Yukon and British Columbia travellers by the Canadian Pacific line. The new liner represents the finest type of ship which has appeared on this run. She has been built and fitted up with a view to supplying the demand for a boat of better appointments than has as yet been run to Alaska, and it is expected that she will be the means of drawing to this country a far larger number of tourists who demand the best in equipment and service while traveling to and from “the Wonderland of America.”
