Yukon Wildlife Preserve enjoys a mini-population boom

The Yukon Wildlife Preserve is growing.

The preserve north of Whitehorse has welcomed three new additions to its population in the last month or so.

Most recently, a caribou calf was born earlier this week.

Two weeks ago, a muskox calf came into the world.

More than a month ago, the wood bison herd launched birthing season with a bison calf.

Last year, in the fall, the preserve welcomed two bison calves well out of season, so this latest calf is at least on time.
