The Yukon government extended the operating hours of the Whitehorse Walk-in Clinic today to better serve the community.
Located in the Mah’s Point building on Second Avenue at Jarvis Street, the clinic will now be open Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
On Thursday and Friday, it will be open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The clinic’s telephone line will be open Monday to Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Thursday and Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“This change will provide more flexibility and accessibility for Yukoners seeking non-urgent medical care outside of standard working hours,” the government said Friday.
“Since the opening of the clinic on December 18, 2023, the feedback received has been overwhelmingly positive. Clients have praised the clinic for its friendly and helpful staff, quick and efficient service, and the high quality of care provided.
“Many clients have expressed gratitude for the clinic’s existence, noting how essential it is for those without a primary care provider.”
