Motorists slightly hurt in Alaska Highway crash

Minor injuries were reported after two vehicles collided under pelting rain at around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday in Whitehorse.

“The collision occurred on the Alaska Highway and Hamilton Boulevard. Both vehicles were not drivable and required towing,” Whitehorse RCMP Sgt. Calista MacLeod said this morning.

Investigation determined that alcohol consumption was not a factor. Emergency Medical Services, the Whitehorse Fire Department and city bylaw officers assisted at the scene.

Traffic flow was slowed for about 25 minutes, returning to normal at around 7:30 p.m.
