Premier Ranj Pillai plans to attend Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in’s 2024 Moosehide Gathering on Friday.
He will join the 16th gathering at Moosehide Village, downriver from Dawson City, to celebrate Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in’s history, traditions and connection to the land, his office said Wednesday.
The Moosehide Gathering is an inclusive community event that takes place every second year at the Moosehide Village heritage site.
It brings together people from Canada, Alaska, and beyond for performances, guest speakers, dancing, drumming, singing, arts and crafts, and celebrations.
“Premier Pillai looks forward to connecting with Yukoners of all ages and deepening the relationship between Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and the Government of Yukon,” his office said.
