Hundreds ride to honour deceased cyclist

A memorial ride drew hundreds of cyclists Thursday evening to remember Joe Morrison who was killed in a hit and run incident last week. From the start point of where Morrison worked as a teacher,  Holy Family Elementary School on Wann Road in Porter Creek, the ride travelled onto the Alaska Highway and through Rabbit’s Foot Canyon, past a ‘Ghost Bike’ set-up in the area of the incident, to the Canada Games Centre. There, Trina Irving of the U Kon Echelon Bike Club read a story by Bill Slater to the 472 people who attended.
